Visiting The Hill Of Crosses
The Hill of Crosses is a unique and poignant place located in northern Lithuania, near the town of Šiauliai. I had a desire to go there with my Leica Q2 Monochrom. This iconic landmark is a place of spiritual significance, where thousands of crosses have been erected over the centuries, creating a striking and powerful visual display.
Reunited with my Leica M4-2
The camera has been adjusted by analogue master Antonio Stasi. A trip to Bergen where we could combine picking up the Leica with a visit to the grandchildren. If you are in Bergen and use an analogue camera, you must visit Antonio's shop. Link: AntonioStasiShop
740 kilometer to Denmark
Roadtrip 2024 part two: Today 740 kilometer from Mielno, Poland to Gammebro, Denmark.
Hill of Crosses to Palanga
After a few days in Riga we went to the Hill of Crosses in Lithuania. It was my desire to get there and photograph this mighty place with the Leica Q2 Monochrom. Afterwards we traveled to Palanga on the coast. The next morning we drove to Elk in Poland. Today, next stop Sopot.
First Day In Riga
Tallink Hotel had a surprise for us. The parking was in the basement and the only way down was by elevator. Not that unusual, you may think, but we had to drive the car into the elevator and stay inside on the ride! A bit claustrophobic for those of us who don't like elevators. Hot outside, 28 C.
Hot In Pärnu, Estonia
It was a hot day with 25 degrees Celsius here in Pärnu, Estonia today. Beautiful beaches with few people. Very shallow beach.
Baltic Roadtrip
From Høyanger to Tallinn. We drove across Norway and Sweden to take a ferry to Paldiski in Estonia. This was the first leg of a long road trip through Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany and Denmark. We are now in Tallinn, Estonia. More later…
